Treat the weeds, plant the seed, and aeration if beneficial for your lawn to end the season and have a jump start to a great spring.
Bulbs, Bulbs, Always plant bulbs in fall such as Tulips, daffodils, crocis, and hyacinths.
Stop feeding those roses, don't cut them back to prevent winter kill and mulch them high if you cover them to get ready for spring.
Divide plants that are overcrowded. It is best to cut the plants that bloom in the early spring and summer in fall. But, wait until spring for grasses and late summer perennials such as black-eyed Susans.
Remeber to get your water sprinkler systems winterized so they don't freeze in the winter months and break the lines.
